How to Maintain Your Artificial Lawn
Weekly maintenance: quick clean-up
- Remove debris: clear leaves and twigs to prevent organic build-up.
- Rinse dust away: a light hose-down keeps fibres clean in dry areas.
- Brush high-traffic spots: lift the pile and keep the turf looking even.
Cleaning spills and stains
Most spills can be cleaned with mild soap and water. For sticky spills, gently scrape residue first, then rinse. Avoid harsh solvents unless recommended for synthetic turf.
Pet areas: keeping turf hygienic
Pick up solid waste promptly. Rinse urine areas with water. If odours persist, use an enzyme-based cleaner suitable for artificial grass and rinse thoroughly.
Brushing, infill and long-term care
Some turf systems require infill (such as silica sand) to support the fibres. Follow your installer’s advice on top-ups and brushing frequency, especially in areas with heavy foot traffic.
